Sudanese Pound is the basic unit of currency of Sudan. The currency ISO code of Sudanese Pound is SDG.

After a 77% drop against the USD between 1995 and 1999, the Dinar remained stable in 2000 and 2001.The Central Bank's policy aims at maintaining the Sudanese dinar pegged to the USD.

Introduction of the Sudanese dinar on May 18, 1992: 1 dinar for 10 Sudanese pounds. End of the SDP legal tender since mid-1999.
