Saint Pierre and Miquelon currency : Euro

Euro is the basic unit of currency of 16 Member States of the European Monetary Union : Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Finland, France, Greece (since January 1st, 2001), Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia , Cyprus, Malta and Slovakia. The currency code of Euro is EUR.

Since March 1st, 2002, the euro became the sole legal tender of the twelve Member States of the E.M.U. On January 1st, 2002, euro banknotes and coins were introduced to replace national banknotes and coins (through February 28th, 2002, both the euro and national currencies were used for cash transactions).
