Azerbaidjan currency : new Azerbaijanian manat

The new Azerbaijanian manat is the official currency of Azerbaidjan. Introduction of the new manat From January 1, 2006 the new manat is effective in Azerbaidjan, with ISO code AZN ; 1 AZN = 5.000 AZM.

The government of Azerbaïdjan introduced the manat on August 15, 1992, on a basis of 10 RUB for 1 manat (AZM).
