The New Iraqi Dinar replaced the old dinar on October 15th, 2003. The New Iraqi dinar creates a single, unified currency that is used throughout all of Iraq. The currency exchange will last from October 15, 2003 to January 15, 2004. Currency can be exchanged at any time during this three-month period.
