Iran currency : Iranian Rial

Iranian Rial is the basic unit of currency of Iran. The currency ISO code of Iranian Rial is IRR. Iranian Rial has a floating exchange rate regime: a reference rate is daily determined by the Central Bank since March 26th, 2002.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has accepted the obligations of Article VIII, Section 2, 3, and 4 of the IMF Articles of Agreement, with effect from September 6, 2004. Iran takes actions to assure the convertibility of Iranian Rial for the current transactions and the balance of payments.
