Rupiah is the basic unit of currency of Bali, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Moluques, Java, Irian Jaya ,Indonesia, Celebes and Boreneo. The currency ISO code of Rupiah is IDR.

Rupiah has a floating rate, had an appreciation of 16% regarding USD in 2002. In 2003, the Indonesian rupiah depreciated by 12% against the euro.
