Comorian Franc is the basic unit of currency of Comorian.

Status : Fixed exchange rate pegged to the euro since January 1st, 1999. With the creation of the Euro in January 1999, th exchange rate is now KMF 491.96775 per euro. For instance, the French authorities will guarantee the free convertibility at a fixed parity between the euro and the Comorian franc. The Comorian franc was devalued at the lesser rate of KMF 75 per French franc.
