On january 1,2000, the central bank of Belarus introduced a new Belarussian ruble (ISO code BYR) equal to 1000 old rubles (BYN).The rate of the dollar is around 320 new belarussian rubles. The Rubble experienced a depreciation of 18% regarding the USD in 2002, and 11% in 2003.
