The Barbados Dollar is the officialy currency of Barbados. The Barbados Dollar's ISO code is BBD. Barbados Dollar has a fixed exchange rate pegged to the US dollar since July 5th, 1975.

On July 5, 1975, the Central Bank of Barbados, decided to peg the Barbados dollar to the US Dollar at BBD 2.00 per USD 1, thus ending the peg to the Sterling Pound, effective since December 3, 1973.
